I have always connected profoundly with Massage Therapy as a form of health care, finding a sense of healing comfort through hands on therapy. That is what initially drew me into this field. I have lived in the lower mainland all my life. From a young age I have been active in gymnastics, dance, and aerial circus. Through personal experience I have discovered firsthand how helpful the manual therapies can be. It is my intention to assist in the recovery and prevention of injury, and help to bring relief to those experiencing pain or discomfort in their daily lives. I wish to instill knowledge of one’s own body and what it needs to restore optimal function. I like to convey an atmosphere of efficacy while maintaining a relaxed environment where you can feel at ease. I’m very happy to have my practice at Port Moody’s Integrated Health, where I work alongside skilled and knowledgeable health care practitioners. If you have any questions regarding an appointment please call 604 725 1210 or email at TarynRMT@integratedhealth.ca

I started on the path to being a chiropractor in 1982 after a motorcycle accident left me with debilitating chronic pain for years. After countless treatments and appointments with a variety of specialists, I met a very special chiropractor who was able to help me. He changed my life and helped define my purpose. I think, because of my own process to recovery, I enjoy the challenge of helping people with complex health problems. When there is nothing that conventional medicine can find, the problem often becomes one of altered function and that’s where my team and I really shine. My patients tell me that they are grateful for the passion and commitment I bring to their care. I have a unique ability to recognize the patterns that exist in the myriad of symptoms my patients live through. My experience is that within these patterns is the pathway to health. People of all ages, from birth to 100, from professional athletes to busy moms, come to me to help them achieve normal pain free function. As part of their treatment, I help them develop strategies to move through their lives with ease and full potential. I am a full-blown road cycling addict and in August 2014 completed a seven-day cycling race through the French Alps. I am also very interested in (since I am one) the aging athlete and how to best treat, maintain, and preserve function over time. So when I’m not working, I can usually be found on my bicycle, riding my Vespa, doing yoga, or enjoying time with friends and family.
